Remembrance Sunday 2023

In our efforts to reduce plastic, the Porthcawl Chamber of Trade decided to make its own commemorative wreath.

The oasis was reused from an earlier floral tribute. (An oasis is a specially formulated foam material that is designed to hold water and provide a solid base for arranging flowers and foliage.) With the help of Ffion my granddaughter we made poppies from some recycled red paper, collected some twigs and green garden foliage, to fashion our wreath - and here is the result.
